Okay everyone, this is Suzen.

In the interest of full disclosure, I just want to tell you that there is no limit to how sweet Brian needs his lemonade. And there is little limit in how messy he is when he makes it.  A good 1/4 cup of sugar never makes it into the blender because it is on the floor, and counter top mixed with dripping lemon juice.   Ever try to clean that combo up off a marble surface? Bye bye finish.  It’s not a kitchen, it’s a crash site.

But what can you do?  Brian loves it, particularly that extra bite from the zest and the white pith that he includes with this whole-lemon-in-the-blender technique.  Maybe that’s why he needs so much extra sugar. This recipe is easy, unless you have to clean up after him.

I will admit — much as I often do not appreciate his intensely sugary drinks —  that I take 1/4 cup of his lemonade and add ice and soda water to fill a large glass. Totally nice.
