Here’s another Really Simple recipe for a summer cocktail time: melon colada
Life beyond pina coladas is filled with options. Midori Melon Liquor, that very green stuff in the pretty bottle, is a staple at my bar. I love Midori all by itself or in a hundred different combinations. Here’s a twist on that classic pina colada, use Midori instead. And, in place of multiple proportions, you’ll find this simple recipe where every ingredient has equal strength is perfection. On a hot day, this is a cocktail to awaken and energize.
Midori Melon Colada
Yield: serve 4 to 6 people
Ingredients:
4 ounces pineapple juice
4 ounces Coco Lopez
4 ounces Midori Melon
Ice
Preparation:
Put the liquids in a blender and generously add ice. Blend until smooth. The beverage can be “fluidy” or you can add enough ice to make it a thick, rich frozen beverage.
