I just reviewed the lovely Prosecco Made Me Do It by Amy Zavatto. No one can doubt the wonder of a Bellini or Aperol Spritz but Amy has drinks that travel down other pathways. Deep travel. Deep flavor.
If you read this blog, you know my favorite beverage is lemonade. I consume it with total passion. I don’t, or I haven’t, put booze in it but now I feel compelled to grow up and give this a try.
Yes, this is Grown-Up Lemonade!
Grown-Up Lemonade
Yield: 1 cocktail
Ingredients:
- l ¼ fluid ounces vodka [regular or citrus flavored]
- ¾ fluid ounce limoncello
- 3 dashes of lemon bitters
- 2-3 fluid ounces brut-style Prosecco
- 1 wide piece of lemon peel, for garnish, optional
Preparation:
Fill a double rocks glass with ice. Pour in the vodka, limoncello, and bitters. Give it a good stir. Top with the Prosecco and garnish with the lemon peel.
