Summer is officially gone, so naturally the temperature is up. It’s in the 80s and those last fruits of the year are ready and waiting at your local farmers market. Peaches make delicious beverages. Even those peaches you got two days ago when they were hard and now seem too mushy. They are just blender fuel.

The amount of orange juice you use can truly affect the flavor. Use a full cup of freshly squeezed juice, and that banana flavor can be overpowered. So, start with a little juice and add more as needed.

A handful of ice will give you the chill you desire.

Peach and Banana Smoothie

Yield: 1 drink

Ingredients:

2 large, ripe peaches, peeled and cut into chunks

1 large, ripe banana, peel and cut into chunks

½ cup fresh orange juice

Ice

Preparation:

Put the ingredients in your blender and process until smooth, at least one minute. Pour and enjoy.
