I'm sorry. Someone just told me my recipe for this cake was wrong. And was it ever. I had the wrong amounts of sugar and buttermilk. I don't know what I was drinking at the time, but I made a mess of the reciipe in writing it down. I did make this cake, and it was lovely but putting it on paper was a disaster.
